The academic year is over! However, children continue to independently acquire new knowledge, master technical tools and develop their creativity.
Recently, we took part in awarding the winners of the regional competition for the best STEM project for schoolchildren “Industry inspires” from “Dnipro Academy of Continuing Education” DRC”.
This year, 442 works were submitted to the competition under 5 nominations: “Ukraine – STEM country of the future”, “STEM decoration”, “Your STEM calendar”, “My STEM hero”, “STEM generation (My future profession)”.
– Each of us is surrounded by many different objects, but not everyone can appreciate them and give them a second life by creating something new from them. I believe that this skill is a real talent, which should be recognized in time in a child, supported and helped to develop. Our today’s all-Ukrainian task is to find, preserve and motivate for the development of talented children who have remained in Ukraine and will be able to build it, – said Liliia Hyrenko, head of the NGO “WOMEN plus”, deputy and head of the Department of Culture and Sports of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council.
NGO “WOMEN PLUS”, as partners of the competition, awarded the participants of the “STEM-decoration” nomination Shishko Tetyana and Konyakhina Kira from Pokrov city with a valuable gift for the work “STEM-pectoral”.
In addition, textbooks “Petrykivka decorative painting” by Tetyana Garkava were handed over to the educational institutions of the region, whose students took the most active part in the competition – “Secondary general education school No. 84” of the DCC, Obukhiv lyceum of the Obukhov settlement council of the Dnipro district of Dnipropetrovsk region, “Nikopol Lyceum “Harmony” “DRC”.
