In 2019 we started working on the development of local tourism.
This year’s competition of tourist routes starts Festival “Dnipropetrovsk region tourist -2021”.
We invite the united communities of the region to participate!
The Festival program includes three stages:
– first stage selection – holding the Competition for the best tourist route by the community among village, settlement, city councils, April 22 – May 20, 2021.
– second stage – online voting on the website http://tourism.dp.gov.ua/ – May 25-31, 2021 and voting of members of the tender commission;
– third stage – Festival of tourist projects.
During the first stage , representatives of village, settlement, city councils identify the most interesting objects for tourists in the territory of their community and suggest the format of the route (pedestrian, bicycle, car, etc.).
The tourist route may include:
– historical and architectural monuments, archeological excavations, local lore or other museums;
– ancient religious buildings, which are associated with a certain history;
– ethno-estates, ethno-farms;
– craft production, allowed to visit;
– natural objects – reserves, tracts, waterfalls, etc .;
– objects of sports tourism – places of rafting on boats, rope parks, climbing, orienteering, etc .;
– other interesting places to visit.
The duration of the tourist route is up to two days. The route may include the territories of several communities of the region (by agreement).
The route indicates the distances to the objects and the time for its passage (in stages).
To participate in the Contest until May 20, 2021 to the e-mail address gumuprsov@oblinfo.dp.ua marked “Tourism” are submitted:
– maps of the area of village, settlement, city councils with the locations of tourist routes and distances between objects marked on them;
– color photos of tourist objects in full size and with detail (JPEG, BMP format from 100 KB);
– a brief description of leisure offers for tourists (participation in ritual or theatrical activities, workshops, acquaintance with local traditions, visiting craft production, etc.);
– information on places for food and accommodation of tourists (with determination of the maximum number of persons), sanitary zones;
– estimated cost of the route (per 1 person).
– if possible – a video about the tourist route (or a link to it on the Internet) in AVI format lasting no more than 5 minutes;
Following the results of the first stage of the Festival, the ten best routes that will take part in the second stage are determined.

Stage II – online voting on the website http://tourism.dp.gov.ua/ – May 25-31, 2021.
Evaluation of competitive works is carried out according to the criteria:
– relevance of the route for the development of tourism in the region, demand among various groups of the population;
– recognizability, saturation of the route with different objects, as well as a range of services available during the route;
– logistics of the route – construction of the route, non-standard planning, original idea of providing information, convenience of visiting the objects included in the route from the standpoint of different modes of transport, availability of sanitary zones, recreation areas, route safety;
– presentation of the route.
The winners are selected by summing the points obtained by the participants during the online voting and the points accrued by the competition commission and entered in the minutes.
Powers of the tender commission:
– considers applications submitted for participation in the Festival;
– from the number of submitted applications, the competition commission selects the 10 best presentations, which are posted by representatives of the organizing committee on the website http://tourism.dp.gov.ua/, where the online voting procedure will take place;
– If necessary, in order to get acquainted with the best routes submitted to the Festival, the competition commission goes to the communities, pre-agreeing with the representatives of UTC time and date of departures. In this case, community representatives prepare a short presentation of the route lasting no more than 3 hours;
– determines the winners of the Festival by rating by secret ballot of the members of the competition commission. Based on the voting results, the rating of the contest participants is compiled, where the winners get the highest number of points.
Decisions on the results of the competition are made in the protocol, which is signed by all members of the competition commission.
Stage III – Final of the Festival – June 2021 , place to be specified.
