Happy Child Protection Day

Together with our partners we held several festive events dedicated to the International Children’s Day. The highlight was the program “Towel of Unity”, which travels to Ukraine to promote Ukrainian culture and unite children from different parts of the country. And of course, there was a master class on Petrykivka painting for children undergoing treatment at the regional clinical ophthalmological hospital. Announcements from our partners CF “Gorenie” (Dnipro, Ukraine) As an emergency response, the SEW UKRAINE project “Supporting the Economic Prosperity of Women and Internally Displaced Persons” provides an opportunity for women to receive free theoretical training in sewing, which will be the basis for mastering the skills of making clothes or their individual elements. Theatrical performances for vulnerable groups continue

Seeing the positive impact of theatrical performances on the psychological and emotional state of people, WOMEN plus continues to join their organization. 2 more performances took place in Dnipropetrovsk region (Ukraine): – comedy “Offer” for employees and patients of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Oncology Center; – children’s play “Rooster” in the village of Khutoro-Gubinykha Pidhorodnya community for local children and children-migrants. Continue to develop the tourism industry of the region

Despite all the circumstances, we continue to make plans for the future. Women plus had a working meeting with Olga Fil, head of the Union for the Promotion of Rural Green Tourism in Ukraine. We talked about the importance of the tourism industry and its development. The next steps of the future joint project were discussed. Tourism will remain a priority for both the socio-economic development of the region and the promotion of its history and cultural heritage.
