Awarding the Winners of the “STEM OLYMPIC GAMES” Contest

It is hard to imagine any sphere of our lives that science hasn’t touched.
Since this year featured the Olympic and Paralympic Games, we proposed exploring how science has influenced the development of sports and held a contest-defense of scientific works, “STEM OLYMPIC GAMES.”
A total of 36 works were submitted by over 50 participants from various parts of the region.
They explored topics such as the impact of emotions on sports performance, biomechanics, nutrition and doping, the use of artificial intelligence in sports, changes in technology for sportswear and devices, and more.
Our favorite work was by Maria Tarasyuk from Dnipro Multilingual Lyceum No. 23 “Sobornyi”. She presented findings on nutrition and doping in sports, their effects on athletic achievements, and record-breaking performance.
For her research work, she received an electronic book from WOMEN plus / ЖІНКИ плюс.
