The Petrykivka painting has a rich history. But this story is dynamic.
The spheres of its application, materials on which it is applied, paints, brushes are changing and transforming. A new generation of masters is coming. But there is something that remains.
It is one of the identifiers not only of Petrykivka and Dnipropetrovsk region, but also of Ukraine.
It is precisely with the aim of popularizing #Petrykivska painting that our NGO joined the implementation of the regional competition of artistic and media creativity “Petrykivka nearby”. The finalists are very talented and did their best!
One of the nominations is the decorative work “The Tree of Life”, where the classic Petrikovka painting was combined with appliqué elements. The youngest winners in this nomination are 8 years old!
Everyone was especially impressed by the works of the participants in the “Blooming Ukraine” design project nomination, where the classic petri dish became an element of modern interior design – kitchen, bedroom, hall, and exterior. It’s very cool!
The winners received diplomas and prizes from the NGO and DACE. The main prize went to the House of Creativity for Children and Youth from the city of Kamianske.
We thank the Dnipro Academy of Continuing Education and personally Oksana Buturlina, the Dnipro Art Museum and Lyudmila Shatyro for organizing and conducting the Competition – for a special gift to the winners – a tour of the halls, Viktoriia Tymoshenko for a wonderful meaningful lecture.
