Attention!!! Regional competition of virtual excursions among museum institutions of the Dnipropetrovsk region “TRAVELING THROUGH DNIPROPETROVSK REGION”
The last year has shown how fragile a peaceful life is. That is why we want to preserve our history for posterity.
There are 31 museum communal institutions and 86 public museums operating in the region. We aim to open them to visitors.
We call on museum institutions of Dnipropetrovsk region to create virtual tours that would allow every person to see their exhibits, and to send them to the competition.
What is needed for this:
By May 6, 2023, to the email address spikerdp@gmail.com with the mark “Competition”, submit:
1. Application for participation in the competition indicating the name of the institution submitting the application; institution addresses; Name and contact information of the head of the institution; Name of the person conducting the excursion; brief information about the institution (no more than 1 page).
2. A video with a virtual tour, placed on a file exchange or on Google Drive.
Video requirements:
– the video must contain a video tour in which the tour guide introduces the viewer to the museum exposition / part of the museum exposition / a place related to historical events in the territory of the community;
– the tour must be conducted in the state language;
– video clips are submitted in the following formats: AVI, MPEG-4, MJPEG, MOV, MP-4 with a resolution of at least 720 x 480;
– at the beginning of the video, you should indicate the name of the excursion, the name of the institution conducting it, or the community being presented;
– the duration of the video clip should not exceed 10 minutes;
– the video can be shot on a professional or amateur video camera, smartphone, tablet or camera with a video recording function;
– during shooting and video editing, any special programs, methods, methods and tools for creating, filling and designing video material can be used.
– the video must be new and before participating in the contest, it must not appear in TV programs, other projects, it must not be posted on any social networks and multimedia platforms, etc.;
– videos must have an original idea, a complete dynamic plot.
The evaluation of creative works submitted to the competition is carried out by each member of the jury on a 10-point scale according to the following criteria:
– originality of the video clip;
– the style of the excursion;
– technicality.
Regulations of the competition
Terms of the competition:
The first stage: 17.02.2023 – 12.05.2023 – collection of applications;
The second stage: 12.05.2023 – 17.05.2023 – work of the competition commission, summary of the results of the competition;
The winners will be awarded on May 18, 2023.
The institution that sent the work to the competition is responsible for observing the copyright of the work participating in the competition.
Participation in the competition means the consent of the participating institution to the subsequent possible publication of the work on a royalty-free basis. At the same time, institutions retain copyright for published video works.
By sending work to the competition, the institution automatically grants the organizers the right to non-commercial use of the provided material (posting on the Internet, TV programs, use at thematic events, in creative projects, further reproduction, etc.) with a mandatory reference to the institution, and also gives consent to processing personal data of the manager of the institution and the person conducting the tour: surname, first name, patronymic, e-mail address and other personal data reported by the participant of the competition.
In accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Copyright and Related Rights”, in the case of using a video that is not his own, the contestant must indicate the authors of the audio and video materials used. The organizers of the Competition bear no obligations regarding any rights of a third party.
If necessary, the organizers of the competition can request the original video clip from the author.
Authors of the three best excursion videos will receive valuable gifts.
The ten best video tours will be posted on the regional tourism website tourism.dp.gov.ua.
