The first expert tour to one of the semifinalists of the project “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Dnipropetrovsk Region”.
We have a rather difficult task – to determine which of the elements is worthy to represent our region at the national and international levels.
Mykolayiv community of Synelnykiv district presents the author’s collection of Ukrainian ethnic festive women’s clothing of the XVIII-XIX centuries by Valentyna Belik.
The author of the project not only studies the history of Ukrainian national clothes, but also reproduces it and involves her compatriots in the presentation. Each outfit has its own name, character and history. There are even explanations of patterns embroidered on clothes by hand. And costume presentations turn into theatrical performances. Currently, the master’s collection consists of 25 different costumes with the poetic names “Honeycombs”, “Cornflower Field”, “Proud Dahlia”…
This is real art. Pleasantly impressed by what I saw.
