In continuation of the celebration of the International Day of Museums and on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Literary Prydniprovya museum, the results of the virtual excursion competition “Traveling through Dnipropetrovsk Region” were summarized.
Virtual tours have become a new global trend, because the digitalization of museum exhibits has a social character, as it opens the doors of museums, including for people with disabilities. And in the conditions of military operations, creating virtual tours is also a means of preserving our history for posterity.
Unfortunately, most of the expositions of the museums of the Dnipropetrovsk region are now preserved. Nevertheless, 11 museum institutions responded to our proposal.
Conducting virtual tours for local local history museums is the first experience. And yet the winners were determined almost unanimously.
They became: Mezhivskiy Museum of History and Local Lore, Petrykivka Museum of Ethnography, Life and Folk Art, and Tomakivka People’s Museum of History and Local Lore.
The winners received a certificate for receiving a deputy subsidy from the deputy of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council, the head of the public organization “WOMEN plus” Liliia Hyrenko.
The virtual tour of the Museum of Ukrainian Antiquities in the open air won the prize of audience sympathy.
