We want to tell you about interesting acquaintances in the Odessa region, some of which have already yielded results☝️
@ Liiia Gurenko @Nataliya Lysenko @Iryna Chygrin (Korchemakha) presented to their colleagues from the Odessa region two elements of the #ICH that are on the UNESCO lists – Cossack Songs of Dnipropetrovsk Region and Petrykivskyi Painting. In exchange, they learned more about the kobzar-lyrny tradition and the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Historical Center of Odessa”.
We visited:
📌 The XXV All-Ukrainian Exhibition-Forum “Ukrainian Book in the Odessa Region”, organized by the Odessa National Scientific Library (ONSB) under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. These are three days and over 60 events at various locations – meetings with Ukrainian writers and book producers, round tables and discussions. Individual locations were introduced to the elements of #ICH
Words of gratitude to the Director General of ONSB Iryna Biryukova and her team for a real celebration of Ukrainian books and traditions.
📌 Department of Culture, International Cooperation and European Integration of the Odessa City Council. We talked with specialists and the Deputy Director of the Department – Head of the Department for Work with UNESCO and Protection of Cultural Heritage Fedor Stoyanov about:
– UNESCO World Heritage Site “Historic Center of Odessa”
– measures aimed at preserving heritage and modern challenges in the field of its protection
An exchange of views took place and an agreement on cooperation was reached. So there will be more, because both the Dnipropetrovsk and Odessa regions have something to preserve for posterity.
