LEARN TO CONTROL YOURSELF AND YOU WILL RULE THE WORLD

“Learn to control yourself and you will rule the world” – This Greek phrase should be the main principle of life for everyone.
The art of self-management will allow you to become a balanced and holistic person, to achieve your goals. In addition, it is believed that people who know how to control their emotions are happier. It is only necessary to have the desire to develop self-control skills. Make a few exercises as a rule and your life will change for the better.

1. Every morning you tidy up your appearance. The same should be done with inner well-being. In the morning, the metabolic rate is low, body temperature is minimal, and blood glucose levels are quite low. This physical decline, caused by our internal clock, negatively affects our morning mood. How to raise it? Stand at the open window and take a deep breath for a minute. Yawn with pleasure once or twice. Tighten all the muscles of your body as much as possible, hold them for 2-3 seconds in this state, and then release the tension. Smile (yourself in the mirror, surrounding objects, people or just like that). Hold the smile for at least 2-3 minutes! The list of such “positive emotional gestures” can go on for a long time, but in fact you do not need to chase the number. It is enough to know 2-3 of your favorite movements that will allow you to change your inner state in an instant.

2. Take a few minutes a day to think about the pleasant events that await you today, tomorrow or next week, instead of worrying about the troubles that may happen to you. The subconscious is quite easy to control when thoughts and words are repeated. So, thinking or talking about success, you will soon receive its material embodiment.

3. If you are in a bad mood at work, vent your emotions on the go. Vigorous movements change the mood. When you put a load on your muscles, you can’t stay in the same mood. Each emotion is associated not only with a certain pattern of muscle tension and the usual posture, but also a peculiar rhythm of breathing. they splash out. But it is necessary that this release of emotions was controlled and home.

4. Try not to jump to conclusions in any situation. Trying to react quickly to a problem can be mistaken. To learn to cope, practice the habit of taking a deep breath and count to 10. This will help you focus on your thoughts, not on your surroundings.

5. It is very difficult to control yourself during conflict situations or when you are provoked into aggressive behavior. In order not to turn the discussion into a bazaar, try to justify your answers and demand the same from the interlocutor. If you feel that you are starting to lose self-control, take a break, for example, take a sip of coffee. Speak firmly and decisively, but do not burst out shouting, even if they shout at you. In this case, it is better to use a defensive reaction and, while your opponent’s angry monologue continues, imagine him with big ears or a clown nose. This will inevitably make you smile, and therefore help you relax.

6. Improve. The motto of people who have achieved a lot in life is quite simple: “Do not put off until tomorrow what can be done today.” This principle of life will teach you to keep up everywhere, to be organized, and will help you to see the results of your work very quickly. Make plans and follow them, not forgetting to leave a place for a well-deserved rest.
