Today, the participants of the third International Ethnomusicological Symposium, which is organized by scientists of the Hlinka Academy of Music, the Laboratory of Folklore and Ethnography and the Science Center of the Academy of Music and Theater of Lithuania, were welcomed.
A lot has changed since the days of the last event, and life itself has changed. Today we saw participants both in person and online. After all, the topic of ethnomusicology remains relevant, especially today, when there is a real threat to our heritage.
Today, words of gratitude were expressed to the organizers of the event – Yuriy Novikov, rector of the Glinka Academy of Music, its research staff (Galyna Pshenychkina, Valery Gromchenko, Olga Husina, Anastasia Lyubimova) and permanent co-organizer Rimantas Slyuzhinskas (Vilnius) for their contribution to popularization research in the field of music, ethnic culture, ethnomusicology.
It was the Hlinka Academy of Music, after the Dnipropetrovsk Cossack songs were included in the UNESCO list of urgent protection, that joined the scientific research of this element and became the initiator of the exchange of experience with colleagues from Ukraine and other countries of the world.
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to communicate with musicologists, researchers, scientists from Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Kropyvnytskyi, as well as Lithuania and Latvia.
They are waiting for three days of discussions, exchange of experiences, presentations of the latest fundamental scientific works and projects by the authors themselves.
We wish everyone fruitful and interesting work.
