Presented Books About the Cossack Era

On the occasion of the International Day of Intangible Cultural Heritage, initiated by UNESCO, a presentation of books about the Cossack era took place. 📚

Recently, at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, professionals involved in library science and the history of the Cossack period, along with scholars and students from various educational institutions, gathered for the event.

The audience watched a video about the element “Cossack Songs of the Dnipropetrovsk Region”, created by researchers of the Dnipro Academy of Music in cooperation with specialists from the Department of Culture and Sports of the Regional Council and #womenplus.

Participants also listened to two mini-lectures — “Academician Dmytro Yavornytsky as a Researcher and Promoter of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Zaporizhian Cossacks”* and “Monuments of the Cossack Era in the Archaeological Research of DNIM.”
Additionally, they viewed video messages from the authors of books about the Cossacks in the villages of the Konotop Sotnia.

Each participating institution received books as a gift.
