Petrykivka painting and Cossack songs of Dnipropetrovsk region are now known all over the world, because these two elements of our region were the first in Ukraine to be included in the UNESCO list. But in our region there are still many elements that need protection, preservation and development!
More than 300 years ago on our earth the “Mukolaiv painting” which now is revived in the village was born. Mykolaivka of the Novomoskovsk area. According to the ancients, the Milky Way passed through the village, so the painting was known far beyond the region.
The uniqueness of painting in his technique. The picture is superimposed on the picture, color on color. This is called flat writing.
The other day visited the Mykolaiv house of culture where works of the Mykolaiv masters are exhibited. The oldest chest displayed here is over 200 years old! In Mykolaivka, by the way, masters of different ages, about 90 of them, work with painting! They not only reproduce the technique of execution, train young followers, but also test new methods of work. Drawings preserved on ancient wooden chests reproduce each other on fabric, glass, household items. And still in Mykolaivka painted a fence more than 20 meters long which became an ornament of the settlement.
In order to preserve and develop the zest of our region, the head of the NGO WOMEN plus, deputy of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council Liliia Gyrenko decided to allocate a deputy subvention for the repair of a creative workshop from Mykolayiv painting in the Mykolayiv village house of culture of Gubyn village council of Novomoskovsk district.
The workshop will give a new impetus to the reproduction of the Mykolaiv painting, unite masters and their students, will draw attention to the painting of even more people.
