Witness syndrome and what to do about it

Witness syndrome is a psychological effect that arises as a result of a person’s emotional involvement in traumatic events. Just by viewing shocking photos and videos, some people can get psychological trauma.
What to do with it? For the answer, they turned to our specialists. We trust them wholeheartedly and recommend everyone to listen to their advice. ☝

So.

Among the tips of members of WOMEN plus, psychologist, art therapist Yana Polianska, there are those that will definitely come in handy. For example, increase physical activity during this period. 🏃🏃‍♀️

“Exercising reduces the risk of depression and anxiety, helps release negative emotions and reduces muscle tension, which helps you feel more relaxed. Choose a type of activity for yourself: running, fitness, dancing or walking outside, which will help you improve your physical and psychological condition,” says Yana.

And the head of FST “Spartak”, famous athlete Viktoriia Oreshyna is convinced that the main psychosomatic impact after stress is “taken over” by the muscles and spine. ☝

“When we are in a state of chronic stress, nerve endings and blood vessels are slowly pinched by spasmodic muscles. Losing elasticity, they cannot hold the spine properly and it deforms, also pinching the nerves,” Victoria explains.

She recommends doing the simplest two exercises for a healthy spine.

✅ “Twisting”. Make side turns with the whole body, then separately – with the upper shoulder and lower lumbar sections, then turn the upper part of the body to one side, and the lower part to the other.
✅ “Tryasoguzka”. This exercise is literally designed to shake the vertebrae, muscles, and joints. Bouncing slightly, shake your torso as if you want to string your vertebrae together on a string.

Take care and look for your #source_of_strength.
