“BREATH OF CHRISTMAS” – Festival in Popasna Visitors and guests enjoyed the spirit of Christmas. They were treated to a nativity play, carols, traditional festive songs, and theatrical-musical performances by creative groups from Hubynyska OTG – OUR COMMUNITY and other territorial communities. Our colleagues participated as members of the festival jury. The highlight was a real Christmas kutia prepared by the participants, among which the most delicious one was chosen 👌. Today, volunteers are an unbreakable support that brings us closer to victory. There are many in our community, but one of the most notable is Lyudmyla Murkovych, Head of Novopokrovka Village, who inspired people to volunteer and turned her community into a humanitarian hub. From the very first days of the war, they began welcoming internally displaced persons. Thanks to the joint efforts of business representatives, local authorities, NGOs, and youth, the community established a “kitchen battalion”, which still sends food to our defenders. Do you remember our coloring contest “Cossack Songs of Dnipropetrovsk Region – Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity”? Today, at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Library for Children (Olha Prokopovych-Tkachenko), during a joint event dedicated to St. Nicholas Day, we presented and gifted the attendees the first full printed coloring book! The book is based on the work that won 3rd place – by Maria Hubeni, a teacher at the Kapulivka Village House of Culture of the municipal institution “Center of Culture, Leisure, Tourism and Sports of the Pokrovska Village Council”. It is hard to imagine any sphere of our lives that science hasn’t touched. Since this year featured the Olympic and Paralympic Games, we proposed exploring how science has influenced the development of sports and held a contest-defense of scientific works, “STEM OLYMPIC GAMES.” A total of 36 works were submitted by over 50 participants from various parts of the region. They explored topics such as the impact of emotions on sports performance, biomechanics, nutrition and doping, the use of artificial intelligence in sports, changes in technology for sportswear and devices, and more. We congratulated our friendly colleagues at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine (NUWU) on their 90th anniversary. At the event, held at the “Literary Dnipro Region” Museum, we saw many familiar faces. During the presentation of the Union’s achievements, we also recalled how many joint projects we have implemented together. We have many plans ahead and believe we will bring them to life.
